Tiny metal hair-thin needles are inserted. Most people feel nothing to minimal pain. Dr. Travis also has a machine called a mens-o-matic, which uses a micro-current to stimulate the acupuncture point. Patients feel nothing to a tiny tingling sensation with this machine.
